The neck is a little chunkier than I prefer, all things being equal, but the profile, radius etc. They reminded me of the humbuckers in my old Ibanez Steve Lukather Roadstar II, but a little warmer/more organic. I actually thought they sounded pretty good. In both the one I first played at the store and the one I bought used, they sounded if anything a little bright to me, but I thought I could work with that. I’m surprised to hear the humbuckers described as dark. Unfortunately the piezo output was DOA (might have something to do with those flimsy piezo connection wires guitarno mentioned?), so I had to return it. I got a chance to play one in a store a few weeks ago, then saw a used one for a nice price at GC and jumped. Interested in this thread since I’ve been kind of homing in on one of these for a while.
